Gion Duck Noodles is where French finesse meets Japanese comfort food. Handcrafted noodles, rich duck broth, and flavors you’ll remember long after your last bite.

At Gion Duck Noodles, we craft every bowl with the finest ingredients. Our rich and savory broth, made from premium Kishu duck and fresh produce, delivers a deep and satisfying flavor. The noodles are handmade daily to ensure the perfect texture that pairs beautifully with our unique recipes. Each dish is carefully prepared to offer a comforting yet refined taste. This commitment to quality is what makes our ramen special.

Our restaurants were created with a simple idea: “Let’s make places that feel fun and welcoming.”  Instead of the usual ticket machines found in ramen shops, we use an emoji-only menu to encourage interaction and make the experience more enjoyable.

We focus on personal connection and thoughtful service, and with our playful design and distinctive style, we aim to offer not just delicious meals but memorable dining experiences.

Every dish at Gion Duck Noodles features premium Kishu duck from Wakayama Prefecture, known for its exceptional quality, and handmade noodles crafted with German rye flour for a unique texture.

Our signature ramen offers an exquisite dining experience, combining elegance and subtlety with a rich duck broth and delicate fine noodles. A touch of organic sansho pepper adds a fragrant, citrusy lift.

Savor it first on its own, then stir in the sansho to transform the broth into a bright, aromatic experience.

Our Mikan (Mandarin Orange) Tsukemen is a refined Japanese reinterpretation of the classic French “Canard à l’Orange.” It features a delicate mikan espuma and a rich Madeira wine sauce, adding bright citrus and gentle sweetness to the duck while offering a harmonious balance of depth. Just dip the duck into each sauce to appreciate their contrasting nuances. Then enjoy the noodles by dipping them into the rich, thick duck broth, allowing them to fully absorb its depth of flavor.

Our Cherry Tsukemen features a delicate cherry sauce, with its bright, fruity sweetness perfectly complementing the richness of the duck. Black and red currants add a vibrant, tangy note, providing a refreshing contrast that enlivens the palate. Finally, dipping the noodles into the rich, thick duck broth brings all the flavors together in perfect harmony, balancing the sweetness, acidity, and savory depth of the duck.

As a final touch to complete your Tsukemen dipping experience, we offer a siphon-infused dashi* to pour into your duck broth, gently mellowing the flavors while adding a rich layer of umami.

* Dashi, the foundation of umami in Japanese cuisine, is made from a broth of shiitake mushrooms, kombu seaweed, and bonito flakes.

A must-try, our Gion Duck Beer is brewed in Kyoto with 100% local ingredients for a crisp, refreshing flavor that pairs perfectly with our dishes.
